Professional Development Groups

The Goal: To Be A Better Massage Therapist

Professional Development Groups (PDG) create challenging learning opportunities for practicing massage therapists.  The PDG sessions offer a practical approach to learning the skills and thought processes that will make you a better therapist.  Within the group you will interact with other therapists of similar experience levels and develop a valuable network of professional collegues.

PDG groups meet for four sessions.  Each group meets every other week for eight weeks.

Each session is four hours and includes the following mix of components:

  • New techniques and content
  • Live, real client demonstrations
  • Hands-on practical application and skill development
  • Mentor massage therapist feedback
  • Incorporation of latest research and training resources

Three levels of Professional Development Groups:

Level 1  Massage Therapy College graduate and up to two years experience

100 to 1,500 hours of hands on experience

National certification recommended

Level 2  Practicing massage therapist two to three years of experience

1,500 to 2,500 hours of hands-on experience

National certification required

Level 3  Practicing massage therapist two to three years of experience

2,500 and more hours of hands-on experience

National certification required

Price:  $250 per four session group (16 hours of training)
